A band of wandering musicians visit a kingdom, only for one of the bandmembers to fall hopelessly in love with the princess...! Shame the king isn't a fan.

I love this short a lot! It's a fun little romp through the process of filmmaking from the writer's room to the premiere.There's some writing in Russian but the visuals make what's what pretty clear.
There is a section in the opening with some strobing on the title text
(it doesn't repeat after 0:16).
The opening itself is a somewhat rapid slideshow of photos- I don't know if it counts as flashing but if you'd like to be on the safer side, the intro ends at 0:50.
Once the writer and director leave the writer's office, they start going down a really long hallway and through a lot of doors. this is a pretty fast-paced sequence and after 4:05 it gets REALLY fast up until 4:17
Suicidal ideation: There's some gags about the writer being anxious/stressed to the point of thinking about/ intending to commit suicide - once while he's trying to write a script at the start of the short and a second time near the end of the short.
A series in three episodes
1. A spoiled brat of a parrot gets lost in the city after an argument with his owner.Suicide fakeout: Kesha jumps off a balcony. He's a bird, he's fine.
2. Kesha is suddenly no longer the coolest bird on the block and is Very upset about it.
There's two instances of rapid flashing:
One where Kesha starts watching tv (it's already pretty flashy, then he starts fast-forwarding it. I think it's safe around the time music starts playing?)
The second is after he affixes several soda cans to a doorway.
Racism of the time period: There's live action footage of blackface on the TV.
3. Kesha is STILL an overdramatic envious brat. His owner's sick, so they can't go on vacation. He's going to go anyway... unfortunately, a city bird like him does not do well in the countryside.
Attempted suicide:
it's an extended scene, about a minute long. Begins after Kesha's just sent Vasiliy's truck off a cliff. (Kesha tries to hang himself)
There's another episode by a different director from 2003 "Утро попугая Кеши" (Kesha the parrot's morning) (2003) but I haven't watched it. It's in the compilation i've linked.

Just as unhinged as any good Alice adaptation should be!
